Hawaiian Adventures part 2 – Kualoa Ranch, Shinto Temple and Pali Point

On Sunday we went on a Movie Tour at Kualoa Ranch. Jurasic Park, Godzilla, and many more have been filmed here at the ranch… I was really excited however because many scenes in LOST are also filmed at Kualoa Ranch… the website boasts that you may even see them filming LOST on your tour… but I have a feeling that they dont just let tours stumble on set.
Anyways here is our group just before we boarded the bus(chris was really alot more psyched than he looks)

Our guide told us that these trees are called African Monkey Pod trees. They were originaly from Africa and spread all over the islands from just 2 seeds!

The name of the peak in the middle of the valley is named after waves that are coming together…

ok so this photo is really embarrassing… I look pretty stupid, and chris looks thrilled, but comeon, thats the real tree from jurassic park… I promise if we had seen lost being filmed I would have looked about 40 times stupider from excitement.

This was our guide… he was hilarious and awesome.

chris being awesome

our group taking photos in front of the log

Remember Godzilla?

This is a reconstructed Hawaiian village… one house for the men and one for the women…

The shinto temple was amazing and peaceful… even when someone was banging the gong

the most amazing coi fish I have ever seen

pali point

Pali Lookout

There was a sign in the parking lot that said beware of bees… this little guy was the only one I saw and he wasnt even moving

Next up: Hawaiian Adventures part 3 – Manoa Falls Hike, Lanai Lookout, Waikiki Beach
