Texas Adventures

Back in November, Chris and I went to Austin TX to visit with family and shoot photos. We will always treasure this trip because it was one of the last times we got to see my Uncle Dan and Aunt Rheta before their tragic passing. Here are a few photos of our adventures in Texas!

We had lunch at our favorite place in Austin a few times Casa de Luz

I have a thing for palm trees

We visited Hamilton Pool. This place was awesome, it was like going back in time. We were really surprised that there was water flowing since it was so dry everywhere else!

This next photo really shows how grand and huge the place was, Chris looks TINY!

The water was covered by the brown needles/leaves that had fallen off the trees above. I loved the knotted up roots in the water

I also have a bit of a thing for cactus…

After Hamilton Pool we visited the greenbelt which was completely DRY. I went there last year with my cousin Tina, see more of those photos here

Last year:

This is just about the same spot

And one more from last year(I cant believe it was so dry this year)

Then we visited Barton Springs, they still had plenty of water

My cousin Kerry and her boyfriend Damien, they are adorable.

We visited Houston one day for my cousin Tammy’s daughther, Laura’s 16th birthday… We went and took alot of really nice group photos, and always have to have the silly photos as well.
This is probably my favorite photo of all of my cousins from Texas EVER. There is so much going on… I handed the camera to my Aunt Rheta and everyone got silly in their own way.
My Aunt Rheta and Uncle Dan… I will miss them.
Another day we did a photo shoot for my Uncle Dan’s company Christmas card.

We were always doing something awesome, one day we visited the Botanic Garden. Here is chris being silly with a flower. I love this photo!

It was beautiful outside and I was wiped out from working/having so much fun, so I took a little snooze in the grass.

My cousin Stefanie was having her house built at the time. Seeing the bones of a house was really cool and made us want to build.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a little of our adventures in Texas:)
