Vacation in NYC!

After this amazing and busy summer a vacation was well deserved! My husband Chris and I drove east to hangout with some friends and eat at lots of amazing restaurants in the New York area. Here are some highlights of the trip!
*note all of the food you are about to see is vegan!

ny dosas: dosa filled with spiced potato, vegan drumstick, samosa the size of a baseball, coconut ish sauce, mint chutney, chili sauce AND soup. AMAZING


we went back for ice cream the second day:) this one was peanutbutter and oreos.

one of our favorite places was red bamboo in the village. SO AMAZING. we went there twice.

bbq wings. amazing. my friend said they taste just like the real thing!

kinda like crab cakes with mango salsa on top.

it was not nearly as good as red bamboo but it did have some interesting choices

it was a jewish holiday so we saw lots of them celibrating with flags throughout the city!

another favorite place was called veggie heaven everything there was amazing but the best part was the appetizers!

saturday we metup with my friend Laura of laura ryan photography and her husband, we did touristy stuff around manhattan.
first was the statue, we just looked at it from battery park, it was pretty far away.

these guys were everywhere tho!

we went in the museum of native american history



so you know, the front of this building is what they used in ghostbusters 2. its the building that was surrounded by the slime at the end.

then we walked on the brooklyn bridge

we watched street performers jump over 5 people

and we went back to redbamboo, here is laura taking a photo of our cheesecake!
