Some words from Sarah about her wedding: Dave & I are getting married in October, which will be our 5 year anniversary of being together. October 12 is a special date for us because we ran the marathon together in 2008 on that date. Before we dated we ran together and this marathon was the peak of our running careers (as of now :).
My childhood pastor is coming up from Missouri as is a large majority of my family. Dave’s niece and nephew will play cello to open the ceremony & my friend Alan will play guitar during the unity candle lighting.
Our reception has a theme of “Going the Distance”/travel theme. Tables will be named after cities we have visited, favors will be suitcase-shaped cookies, table cards will be luggage tags.
My Aunt Cindy is making our wedding cake and on the topper will have two birds (one dressed as a bride & one a groom) on a bike to symbolize how Dave taught me how to ride a bike.
My gown is from David’s Bridal. Shoes are by Caparros, Marine satin, Ethel. Earrings were a gift from awhile ago, necklace is from Macy’s. Hair accessory is from Little Birdcage, made with love and owned by my good friend Jennifer.
