A few words from Kristin: Oh gosh! We love details. We probably put the most time/effort into the wedding day apparel (tuxedos, dress, accessories), song selection (very particular about our Motown, Elton John, Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder!), and the menu. We are foodies. A lot of Italians are expecting abundant displays of antipasta, parmesan cheese and hot pasta, made to order! Ok, so really this is what we wanted, too. Oh and wine – don’t forget the wine! And then there’s the Maid of Honor, who has planned a very special “toast” for the event – a flash mob. Yes, a flash mob. Look out! 🙂 We’ve tried to coordinate save the dates, invitations, programs, etc. – that’s the Marketing side of me, I suppose. And Kyle has been right on top of the Friday night rehearsal dinner – a welcome tailgate for all of our guests! Complete with cornhole, burgers on the grill and beer! 🙂 We worked with Catering by Design for the Reception and Legends of Notre Dame for the rehersal tailgate.

One of the most important parts of our day is the presence of our dear friend and priest, Father Matthew Kuczora. It will be his 30th birthday that day, and he has been a constant source of love and support throughout our engagement. I’ve known Matt since I was 3 – we played soccer together, graduated high school together, went to Notre Dame together…and one year ago today, he was ordained a Holy Cross Priest at Notre Dame. It was incredible. We’ve created a special layer of the wedding cake to be Matt’s bday cake, too. It has small shamrocks on it – very cute. 🙂
