Every year I love it when the maple trees bloom. It only lasts a few days and I think it is pretty overlooked. Compared to other flowering trees like dogwoods and redbuds the maple isnt nearly as exciting or dramatic. But I dont have dogwoods or redbuds in my yard, so I enjoy my maples! If you get close, the blooms are slightly fragrant(my body regrets sniffing the bloom however as I am allergic!). I am so excited because this is just one more sign that summer is almost here and winter is OVER!!!
