Its FINALLY April 15!! Aside from it being the ever dreaded tax day, it is the day the winner of the FIRST EVER destination wedding photography contest is announced!!!

Wedding Destination: Negril, Jamaica

What do you envision your wedding day to be like? I envision my wedding day as a beautiful afternoon in the cliffs of Negril, with Nate and I saying our vows with the ocean at my back as the sky fills with orange and red at sunset… Our close family and childhood friends by our side… in a place that’s close to my heart… My eyes filling with tears of joy as we turn six years of “boyfriend-and-girlfriend” into a lifetime of husband and wife… I can’t wait to hug everybody and celebrate with them as we begin our new lives together, partying into the night under the stars.

Why do you want me to photograph your wedding? I want you to photograph my wedding because your pictures seem to fit the vision I have for capturing one
of the most important days of my life. We’ll be in a beautiful setting with the people who mean the most to us, and want to make sure we have a professional photographer to create the images that we’ll keep forever.

How did you meet?
We actually grew up six blocks away from each other, and our paths crossed many times before we actually met. We were at work… We saw each other in passing, and then one day he stopped by my desk (for no good reason but to ask me out… lol). We became good friends and started dating after he left his temporary assignment. Our first trip together was to Negril in 2005: the same place we will get married. We got engaged in January 2008 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We’re looking forward to our destination wedding next May- Jamaica is not only significant in our relationship, it also hold special meaning for my family, as my parents and brother were born there. It’s where my grandparents are buried, and the place from which my roots grow.
