A few words about the wedding from Amanda:

We are having a smaller, intimate wedding with many classic and elegant touches. We are looking forward to getting married as Adam and I have been a couple for nearly eight years!

Most of the guests are closer family and friends. We have chosen a variety of pink and ivory flowers like Cezanne roses, stephanotis, and hydrangea for our floral arrangements. At the chapel, my father will be playing two religious songs as a part of the wedding prelude on his acoustic guitar. My aunt, who is a pastor with the Nazarene Church, will be our officiant. After the ceremony, we will have a lavender petal toss and ring the chapel bell as we make our exit.

The ballroom decor will be very elegant, with damask ivory tablecloths, silver accents, crystal candle holders, crystal wall and ceiling decor, romantic votive candles, and light pink napkins for a hint of color. In the foyer, we will have an array of family wedding photos and childhood photos to add a personal touch. We will be playing a wide variety of music at the reception, including some classics, 70s & 80s dance grooves, and a few modern favorites.

We don’t have an overall wedding theme, but my hope is that our wedding will exude classic bridal elegance! Some other key words might be classy, mature, joyful, and loving.

I purchased my wedding gown and veil at Something Blue Bridal in Schererville, Indiana. My gown is by David Tutera for Mon Cheri. It is a floor-length gown of lace over ivory-and-oyster satin. It is an A-line ballgown with a jeweled bateau lace-illusion neckline. The entire gown is adorned with hand-sewn crystals and pearls, along with a glittering empire-waist belt. The gown has a sweeping chapel-length train with scalloped lace around the entire hem. Pearl buttons accent the low back of the gown.

The waltz-length veil by Bel-Aire Bridal is embroidered with beading and silver threads in a scalloped lace pattern, and attaches with a comb. My shoes are are peep-toe ivory lace and satin pumps purchased at Nordstrom. I will be wearing a crystal-jeweled hair comb to accent the veil in my hair.

Crystal tear-drop earrings and matching bracelet was purchased at Affairs Bridal Boutique in Valparaiso. My diamond wedding and engagement rings are by Michael Hill, as is Adam’s white gold wedding band.

All the men will be wearing charcoal grey tuxedos. The groom will be wearing a pale silver vest and tie with silver tie pin and pocket watch, while the groomsmen will be wearing silver ties with dark grey vests and black shoes.
