Jenna & Blaise | Engagement photography | Philadelphia, PA

Jenna & Blaise are getting married this year at the Notre Dame Basillica. They live on the east coast, so we thought it would be fun to do their engagement session in Philly while we were out there for 2 other sessions! We love shooting in new locations and Philly was seriously a city we want to see more of!

We started the shoot outside the Art Museum, you know the famous location from Rocky.

It was a little warmer there than it was in NYC the day before, but we still got cold, so we went into the water works museum to warm up. It was also a pretty interesting place and they didnt mind us taking a few photos inside.

Diana & Pasha | Engagement Photography | New York City – Museum of Natural History & Central Park

We were very excited to meet Diana & Pasha for their engagement session in NYC. We had been looking forward to it for awhile and of course it had to be FREEZING on the day of the shoot. However it felt alot worse than the 25 degrees it really was, it was like 2 degrees back in Chicago, so we really didnt have it THAT bad! We cant wait for their wedding in Boston!

They requested photos with the dinosaurs, cute:)

February 7, 2010 - 4:44 pm Suzanne - I am certain that this is my favorite of your shoots in the past 6 months. Just lovely. Bravo, and jealous as he** for the location, as well. Suzanne

Valentines day contest!

We are 2 weeks away from valentines day, I thought it would be fun to do a contest! I want you all to flex your creative muscle on this, get out your crafty supplies, maybe some glitter(I love glitter!), maybe stamps, maybe even fabric and:
Send us a creative hand made valentine!

The maker of the most creative valentine will win a photo session in the chicago area and an 8×8 coffee table style album featuring the photos! Anyone may enter! If you are engaged and would like to book us for your wedding the prize can be used as a guestbook at the wedding(and since all of our packages come with an engagement session, you can use this session after the wedding as a day after session!).

Entries must be postmarked by February 20, 2010.
I want to leave time for couples that are going to get engaged on valentines day to enter as well, so if you know anyone planning a valentines day engagement, point them to this contest!

Mail valentines to:

Andrea & Brent | Portraits in the snow | Michigan City IN

Winter is a funny thing, some days it can be 25 degrees but feel not so bad outside, this was not one of thoses days. But Andrea and Brent’s session still turned out awesome! Though we did have to take a warmup break half way through… They are engaged, so you may get to see photos of them again sometime this year from their wedding!

Lynette & Josh | Portraits in the Snow | Michigan City, IN

Meet Lynette & Josh, They are engaged and adorable!!

The weather today could not have been more beautiful! It was probably the warmest 25 degrees I have ever seen. Although we had to wade through 2+ feet of snow in some places, this session was incredibly perfect!

January 11, 2010 - 3:24 pm Otto Rascon - Such beautiful, clean, and fun photos. It looks like you all had a blast!

January 15, 2010 - 11:33 am Lynette - Monica, you did a fantastic job! I love all of the photos and we had a lot of fun working with you. Thank you so much!

Kelly & Gilbert | Portraits in the snow | Michigan City, IN

The first session of the new year! Complete with a bit of lake effect blizzard(that only seemed to hit Michigan City) Not to worry! This session was meant to be in the snow. Kelly and Gilbert were amazing out there!

January 6, 2010 - 9:37 pm Rachel Garcia - What a great session with lots of beautiful contrast!
